As, stated a few days ago, I was challenged in my morning devotion to list daily, a blessing that I'm most grateful for, starting with "A" and continuing through the alphabet. Today, I am on the letter "D".
One of the dearest blessings in my life is my "Daddy". What an example he has lived before me. While growing up, he sacrificed a lot to spread the gospel and he continues to do so. He, with the Lord's help, has started churches, pastored mission churches, renewed and refreshed churches, you name it, he has poured his life and soul into furthering God's work. I often thought my Daddy was way too strict or hard on me growing up. I thought he was not allowing me to do things or telling me "no" just to "hurt me". Now, I realize he was simply "keeping me from all the hurt". The hurt I felt, I brought upon myself. He always had my best interests at heart. I Love My Daddy, More Than Words Can Say!!
I know he will be rewarded for all his dedication and sacrifices. Though, he never sees it as that. He LOVES the Lord will all his heart and he LOVES the Church. My boys have a great deal of respect and love for him already. They think PePaw can do anything! And I think that's just the way it should be. And I think that my Daddy can still save me from anything that life tries to throw at me. My Daddy, one of my most prized possessions!! Thank you Lord for your blessings on me.
He walked me down the aisle. Then, he and my PawPaw did our ceremony. What wonderful memories!!
Christmas 2009 with my Sweet Momma.
