Poppy's Keep Their Promises

The boys are always all about their Poppy and PePaw. Whatever they say, the boys take as the gospel and they always love to be with them as much as possible. Poppy and PePaw both work ALOT and cherish the times they do spend with the boys. On Saturday, PePaw came and got the boys for breakfast, as he had promised, and let the boys ride their bikes and play in the mud ALL DAY, now who wouldn't love a PePaw that does such things as that. On Sunday, Poppy finished the much anticipated homemade bow and arrows he had promised and the boys spent Sunday afternoon being little Indians and shooting, so who wouldn't love a Poppy that does such things as that. SPOILED! I know, but aren't they all?! We are truly blessed to have both of them living so close to us. The boys even put their Pops above their Dad and that is really really high in their eyes. Levi states often, "Poppy and PePaw are the smartest, then my Daddy, then....etc, etc". He goes down the list and I'm sure Josh really feels the love in all that honesty(LOL honey). So, when it comes down to it, no matter how BIG or small, The Pop's Prevail! around our house, cause you know, "Poppy's always keep their promises", according to my boys.

I didn't get any pics of the boys with PePaw on Sat. b/c when I got there, the boys went directly in the tub for the 2nd change of clothes and baths! We had somewhere to be shortly after. Sorry, PePaw no pics. We'll try to get some next time. Love you and MeMaw, lots!!

Nana did take these pics of the boys with their bows. Love you lots too!!

Nana and her little Indians!

Pop and his boys.

Check out the eyes. Ready to shoot but posed for a pic!

This kid can shoot.

Houston is SO determined at 4 years of age.

Houston holds his mouth this way a lot when he's concentrating on things. So cute! (Josh gets a little excited about his boys)

Sweet Sundays

My grandmother celebrated her 73rd B-Day this month, so we all got together today after church. She is the most Godly woman I know and my hero in so many ways. She is selfless, loving, caring and most of all she loves the Lord and her family with all that is in her. If I ever have the faith and character that she possesses in her pinky, I will be some kind of mother and wife. She misses my PawPaw so much but carries on and is strong for our family's sake. It breaks my heart to have days like these without him here with us, but I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt we will all be together again. Her only request for her birthday was for all of us to come and have lunch and take updated family photos for her. She loves her family and loves to have a "brag book" to show us all off. It's an amazing love that my grandparents shared and the love they showed us while growing up. And now as an adult, I still feel that cozy, safe, loving feeling every time I step through her backdoor. No greater love , other than from my heavenly father and immediate family, have I felt like the love of my precious grandmother. Happy B-Day MawMaw, I Love You more than my limited vocabulary could EVER express! You're my Angel on Earth!!!

My Precious Family of whom I am SO thankful for!!
I will try to post updated pics of ALL the Bozeman's when Kelly sends them to me. I know, I know, I don't have that much space on my hard drive.

"Gorillas in the Boon-Docks"

Well, my little Houston still gives us the most laughs from getting some of his words "mixed-up". We were taking Levi to school and he said "Momma, are there bears around here"? I said, "No, not around where we live but there are bears in the mountains." "Well, there's gorillas in the boon-docks." "No, son. There are gorillas in the boon-docks of the jungle but not in Alabama." Then he says so seriously, "Momma, Nana said there were gorillas in the boon-docks and her and Poppy have them at their house. They come out at night." "No, son Nana was probably just telling you a story, that's not a true story just a made up story." "Momma, I know gorillas live there cause Poppy got after one with a stick. He said they had been tearing up his yard and he was tired of it!" I put two and two together and realized my little fella was talking about "Armadillos" not "Gorillas". How cute! They just keep me laughin' all the time! Don't what in this world I would do without them!!

Meet "Snaggle"

He did it! He lost his other front tooth, tonight. He looks sooooo cute!! I can't believe my baby is growing up so fast. I told him the tooth fairy was gonna go broke pretty soon. He just giggled. He was afraid that people were gonna make fun of him. I told him they have either been snaggle themselves or would soon be and besides they even made fun of Jesus son and he still loved everybody. He was alright with that explanation, so maybe his feelings want be hurt too bad if someone makes fun of him. Should make for some cute pics, huh?

How adorable!!

Houston just adores his "Bub".

Meet "Bubba"

Houston refers to Levi as "Bub" or "Bubba". Well as of today, he is officially "Bubba", just check out the teeth. Levi lost his 1st front tooth this afternoon and the other one should come out any day. My baby may really be singing "All I Want for Christmas Is My 2 Front Teeth"! But he is still as cute as ever. Poor thing, Josh and I had HUGE front teeth, so the boys will probably have some "chicklets" of their own!ha
How Sweet!!

Houston went after floss for his. Don't rush things, son!

Sunday Campfire

Well you know in the South, we're known for our Sunday Campmeetings, but tonight, we had a little Sunday Campfire. We had Homecoming at church today, so we didn't have PM service. We had a great day of fellowship, eating and singing and what better way to top it off than to fellowship and eat some more! The kiddos played outside all afternoon and as you can tell in the pics, enjoyed every minute of it. They were dirty from head to toe and stunk like little sweaty, smoky munchkins', but what some memories, huh? They came running in the house, or the older ones sent Houston in the house, after matches. Of course being the Mom that I am, "What in the world do you want matches for son?!" "We're making a campfire! We gonna cook wienies and marshmallows!" Houston informs. "Well first off, you DO NOT play with matches and second we don't have any wienies or marshmallows." "But Momma, can't you pleassssse go get some?" So Aunt Kelly volunteered to run to the Pig and the screams could be heard for miles around, I'm sure. They were just so cute. They had really made a little campfire, complete with all the sticks it would take to burn down in literally 5 mins. and rocks all around the edges of the sticks to keep the massive blaze contained. It was so cute! So Aunt Kelly arrives back with wieners but no marshmallows. How in this world can the Pig, the $ Store and Richie's all be out of marshmallows, but they were. A little disappointed, but they made do with just hot dogs. The boys ate 3 a piece. Why is it everything always taste better when it has to do with outdoors, dirt and fire? I don't know, but they ate them dirt, ashes and all.
I just love being with my family and what a great way to kick off a new week, refreshed and feeling loved!! No matter what may come our way, the love of our Saviour during "Campmeeting Days" or the love of our family on "Campfire nights", they will help us through anything life may throw our way!

ROLL TIDE!!

We took the boys to the UA-Kentucky game and they had a blast! We had lunch at "The Cypress Inns" as the boys call it and headed to the game. Houston had to go to the potty after we ordered our food and on the way back of course he had to see the tank of fish "just 1 more time". He looked at me so serious and said "Momma look at that HUGE crappie with those long whiskers!" I said, "Son, that's not a crappie with whiskers, that's a catfish." "Oh" and then a little giggle. He's so much fun! Anyway, after a good meal, we headed to Heaven on Earth. I just love game days! The Tide didn't look near as impressive as last Saturday but we'll take a "W" anyway we can get it, pretty or not! The boys were troopers and had a great time. ROLL TIDE ROLL!!

My Handsome "Bama Boys"

How precious is this?!!

ROLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL TIDE ROLL!
Levi could not get enough!!
Houston had already had enough!!
Do I even have to say anything?

1st Report Card of 1st Grade

On Wed. evening I had Parent/Teacher Conf. with Ms. Henson. Levi had all A's!! Good Job Levi! She bragged on him not only for his grades but also for his conduct("1"-outstanding) and that makes a Mom proud! I remember my PawPaw Bozeman use to tell us, that he wanted good grades but their may be subjects we might struggle with at times. However, we better ALWAYS have a good conduct grade, that behaving was something we knew how to do! Now, I see exactly where he was coming from. Levi also received a "Behavior Medal" in his classroom. This is something the teacher decides so I was tickled! My boys are the joy of my life and when others brag on them it lets me know they have listened to some of the instruction I have bombarded their little brains with. And that my friends, just thrills me to pieces!!

Look at that smile...I think he's a little happy!

Aren't report cards so different from back in the day?! All A's and a "1" in conduct!
