Houston's On 3rd Base......

Literally!!! They have put him at 3rd Base and he spent most the practice on top of 3rd Base!! He was so funny. In his own little world. Bored out of his mind. Standing on 3rd and practicing his 360 spins!! He would balance on 1 foot, spin around and change feet. I just knew the child would fall down from being so dizzy from all the spinning. It was too cute and I just set back and laughed for a little while. Eventually, I tried to get him to focus, but spinning and drawing in the dirt could not be more fun to a 5 year old!! So glad, I'm with him and Josh is with Levi. His Daddy would NOT think this was cute at all. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure he would get the "FOCUS!! or you'll be running!!" speech. :)

Sunday Worship

Why oh why do I really get my praise on, on Sundays? I am so slack through the week of giving our Lord and Saviour the praise and thanks he deserves. I feel as though life is happening so fast that a AM, PM prayer and a little blessing at each meal is all he gets these days. I usually try to have a song in my heart and sing or hum through the day, but am I really praising or just singing? How I pray from this AM and here on out, I will stop to praise and sincerely thank him for his tender mercies showed to me daily. I am human, but I am also a Child of The King. Lord please forgive me for taking you for granted.

Where is the time going?!!!

Just realized I haven't blogged since Monday. Time is passing by so fast and my boys are growing up by leaps and bounds! We have been busy with ball practice and family stuff this week. I have also been busy "closet cleaning"!! How in this world can one accumulate so much stuff from one season to the next? I am a hoarder, I admit it. "My name is Angie and I have a "letting go problem", therefore I hoard."

The boys have only a few pair of shorts from last year that they can wear and I am amazed at how much they have grown. Including their feet. And when their feet grow, they eventually grow out of the "cheaper" Nikes and grow into the "full price" Nikes and so I had a "spell" today when purchasing a pair of shoes for Levi!! The same pair of shoes, exactly the same, except for the size, was a $35 price difference in his shoe and Houston's . I almost needed CPR right there in Academy!!! And not only did they need tennis shoes but also church shoes and then I almost needed CPR again!!! But I am SO thankful they are healthy and growing and will be more than happy to buy their shoes, as long as they need them! Thank you Lord for stinky, growing, little boy feet.

I also had an "a-ha" moment today while recovering from my "spell" at Academy. 5 months from now my baby munchkin will be in Kindergarten. No trips to town with Mommy on a school day for "Bubblicious" anymore. It will be a school day for both of them! I can't believe how fast time is getting away from me. About time for another one, I don't think I can handle empty nest, yet! Josh tells me to take an Aspirin or find a hobby or just get some things done around here that I've been meaning to do for the last 8 years but haven't taken the time to do them. That's probably a much better idea since in his words, "Honey, you can't have babies forever, they eventually will ALL grow up." He's just so full of wisdom at the ripe old age of 34!:)

What a Wonderful Week!

We truly enjoyed our week camping. I never knew we would enjoy it so much. We have met some of the sweetest people and being outside in God's great outdoors is so relaxing. It was a little colder than last year but all we had to do was add a layer of clothes! Nothing to complain about really. We were healthy, safe and together. That's everything a Momma could ask for.

We reunited with our friends from last year and made many new ones! It's amazing how that when people have the love of God in their hearts, it's like you are instantly connected. As if, you've known each other all your lives. Memories that my boys will never forget and that only make me realize even more what life is all about. Life is a vapor. Help me Lord to slow down and soak it all in. Every tree, every fish, every turtle, every breeze, every ray of sunshine that we enjoyed and every precious soul we met, happened because you said so.

We walked, we talked, we rode bikes, we ate, we laughed, we cried, we ate, we played, we stayed up late around campfires, we ate. Spring Break 2010-What a wonderful week!

The Annual Silly Face Picture

Houston and his best friend of the week, Hannah. I was enjoying a game of "Chicken-Foot" in the background.

A little fishing. The water was so high but the guys enjoyed just being in the boat.
Lunch at "Cora's". The place of soul food and boy did it do my soul good.
Part of the crew. I never knew it could be so fun hangin' with the retirees. These folks really know how to have good, clean fun. "Oldies but Goldies!"

The bridge where Levi spent a lot of his time. He caught several brim and loved feeding the turtles from his favorite spot.
Poppy and Nana.

The boys and their new found friends. They were really having "to rough it", can't you tell. They ALL had a DS and McDonalds was 5 mins. away.
Campfires every night.
Singing around the campfire. We usually had about 40-45 people gather with us at night. Fellowship, coffee and cake. Loved it!
A historical site. The Foscue House, built in 1840 is now a restaurant. A little spooky looking but good food! The boys were amazed.
The Foscue House was full of cabinets displaying things found in the house.
Catching some trot line bait! I LOVE to see him smile. He has a lot on him most days but this smile makes me so happy!
Houston, Hannah and Nicholas. Nicholas was only there for 2 days of our stay but they made the most of it.
What is camping without SMORES?!!

Saying our good-byes. I met a sweet heart. Here Mom and Dad camp and she came down with her 2 kiddos. Kim, Ryan and Emily, precious.

A good game of "Color-Tag". Can you guess the color? Pink would be it!
Do you really think you can catch me?!

"Workin-Man"

The boys have been outside all day. They have been "workin-mans". They love to be outdoors. I called them in for lunch but they wanted "to take our lunch like workin-men". We packed a quick lunch and they went all the way on the back porch to eat it.:) Love my boys!

In a hurry to get back to work!

In a hurry to get to dessert!
Notice the tool belt. He LOVES wearing this thing.:)

Spring Break 2010

As you may remember, we took our first camping trip last year during Spring Break. We are returning!! The boys are pumped. I'm so ready for some relaxation. Josh is working frantically to get everything done so he can join us. The 10 day forecast looks great but that can all change if the Good Lord changes his mind. Let's hope he's loving the forecast.:) We plan on leaving Monday morning and returning on Saturday. No schedules, no makeup, no ironing, no nothing if I don't want too!! How great does that sound?! No computer either, so I'll catch up when I return. Wish you all a wonderful week ahead with the ones you love. Tomorrow is not promised but Good Lord willin' I hope we all have Spring Break 2010 and many, many more future Spring Breaks to enjoy. Make it memorable and make it count. :)

Spring Break 2009~ Boy was this FUN!!

Let's Play Ball!!

Levi and Houston are now practicing baseball!! What beautiful weather for our 1st day of practice!! Houston will be on the 5-6 yr old "Reds" team. Levi will be on the 7-8 yr old "Cardinals" team. They both had different practice times so I was able to watch Houston and part of Levi's team. Josh is head coaching this year for Levi. They had enough for 2 teams this year, just barely, which will be great! Last year we had 15 and it was TOO many. Houston's age group has 3 teams!! WOW!! There will be 10 little "Reds" on his team. It's gonna be so much FUN! Let's play ball, boys!!

Printer Problems

I want a printer that prints pics but doesn't use $30 ink for just a hand full of pics. I know a lot of you are "Kid Crazy" like me when it comes to snapping pics. I would like to be able to print cards and use card stock also for church things. Any suggestions?

"Z"

Well, today wraps up my "Blessings Challenge" I accepted some few days ago. I love my morning devotion time. I also know when I don't take the time to do it. Just a few minutes of prayer and scripture in the AM helps me to begin a beautiful day no matter the forecast for outside. I encourage you, to just find a little time in the AM, maybe before the kiddos get up or whenever and get alone with God. You will not believe the impact and difference it will have on your life. So, thanks for going through the whole alphabet with me. Hope I didn't bore you. So this brings to me the last letter...."Z".

"Z"-"Zealous". Full of or characterized by, due to zeal; active, devoted or diligent. What a big word! I am to have a devoted, active, diligent attitude towards the things of God. "Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." Titus 2:14 WOW! I have been challenged through this last month in many different ways. The scriptures God has brought to my remembrance have been exactly what I needed when he gave them. One challenge has really been just taking the TIME to be thankful and reflect on what the Lord has done for me and my family and does on a daily basis. In the hecticness of life, we can sometimes focus on only the things that have went wrong in a days time and never reflect on the other 99% of the day that we had every need met, every meal provided, every piece of clothing we needed, etc. God is good to us all, all the time. May we always have a zeal to tell others about him and long to be closer to him every day. BLESSED, BLESSED, BLESSED! Thank you Lord for all your blessings on me! And thank you for all that you have in store for me and my family in the future!

"Y"

"YOU!" Since blogging, I have really enjoyed the stories, encouragement, laughs, and wonderful pictures YOU share through your blogs. I feel I have regained a connection with some of you that I had lost over the last few years, due to the business of life. I have also met many new friends and look forward to more. Thank YOU for sharing your life with me. Thank YOU for leaving an encouraging comment or saying a prayer when I've asked. I am blessed to have YOU in my life. Thank you Lord for your blessings on me.

"X"

"eXtra Mile." Aren't you so thankful for those people who always go the eXtra mile for you and your family? For those in your home church who are always willing to jump in and tackle yet another event? I have truly been blessed with many in my life. Whenever, I want to complain or feel like, "That's it, I'm the only one who ever takes an initiative, I'm tired of doing it all, etc." it's not long until I am convicted for my attitude and reminded of the eXtra mile Jesus went for us all in his cruel death at Calvary. I know we have to set some limits but I also know that when I put that last little extra effort into something, I am always blessed a little extra! It's amazing. So thanks to all those special people in my life who are always willing to go the extra mile! Thank you Lord for your blessings on me.

Our Family Tree

You know how it is when a child is learning who and how a person is kin to them. Especially in a family of our size. Bozeman's-My Dad is the oldest of 9 children. Cannon's-Poppy is the oldest of 7 children. Hutto's- Nana is one of 6 children. My Mom only has 1 sister but we are truly blessed with family. Anyway, the boys were talking yesterday about some of our bunch. Our Family Tree is a little confusing but so proud to be a part of a big family. So many great things can be shared. Drama may be one of them but the good way outweighs the bad! Anyway, conversation between the boys:

H: "Bubba-licious, who's your favorite Aunt?"

L: "Well, my favorite Great Aunt is Aunt Kristi"(Mark's wife) and my favorite Aunt Aunt is KK." (Mind you they have lots of favorites but it just so happens they spent the weekend with KK and Aunt Kristi sent home a bag full of snacks to them yesterday!ha)

H: "Yeah, that's mine too."

L: "And my Poppy and my PePaw well they tie for my favorite Uncles."

H: "Yeah, them's mine too."

I think I have a little more explaining to do!!:)

"W"

"Wrinkles." I know you're thinking, yeah right. But truly they are a blessing in some ways. This allows us to reflect on the past life that the Lord has blessed with. The wonderful memories we've been able to make, or the hard times that made us who we are and probably put most of them there. But also a sign of wisdom. When I see my Grandaddy, MawMaw BJ or MawMaw Bozeman I'm reminded of how the sweet wrinkles on their face prove they have fought a good fight and it has made them so wise. Also, makes me reflect on how they have always been there to cheer me on and give me unconditional love for the last 35 years. Thank you Lord for wrinkles and Thank you Lord for Oil of Olay!ha Thank you Lord for your blessings on me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISAAC!!

Birthday wishes to a precious young man who has a special place in our hearts!! We love him like he's ours.:) Happy 8th Birthday, Zeke!!

Heather's Shower

Heather and Micah are expecting their first child! "Emma Kathryn" is due on March 13 and we can't wait until she arrives. Please keep them in your prayers and we know God has great things in store for them! We had a shower for them at church last Sunday. Here's a few pics from her camera.

LOVED THIS CAKE!! PRETTY AND YUMMY!!

Heather, Lindsey and Mary

One of the cute outfits! She was blessed with so many pretty things.
This was the little dress and hairbow we got her. It has little cheerleaders smocked on it. Heather cheered for years and Mary is STILL involved with Athletics!ha:)
The Bozeman Ladies. NO I'm not the pregnant one, that would be her in the little aqua sweater. She looks so good prego!! I just enjoy eating like I'm prego!!heehee

Report Card Time~ AGAIN?!

What?! Time has slipped away and another 6 weeks has been checked off the school calendar! Levi brought home his red folder of the past weeks work and said, "Momma there's a report card in there too." What?! I'm always on top of things. Know when the grading period starts/stops, when report cards are suppose to arrive, but not this time. But he did great!! ALL A'S again!! He loves to succeed. He is so self-driven. A blessing and a curse, to some extent. But in this "extent", a blessing indeed. Love You Son!! We are so proud of you!!:)

"Park, Pleeeeease?!"

Houston gets a little stir crazy, if you will. Just like any other child, he likes to go outside. The weather, as you know, has been a little cold to say the least. We did get to enjoy some sunshine last week and he begged to stop by a park. So we did. If only for 30 mins., he thought it was the best.
