ALL ABOARD......

The Polar Express! KK surprised the boys Thanksgiving with tickets to The Polar Express. This takes place in Calera at the Railroad Museum and is so much fun! I think she and I had as much fun as the boys. I'm sure your familiar with the book and this was just like the book. We boarded the train in our pajamas, with a Conductor punching our tickets and we had a narrator who read the story as we rode away into the darkness, finally arriving at The North Pole! Complete with Santa and Mrs. Claus themselves, elves, cookies and milk, a bell from Santa's sleigh, an ornament and music and fun with our narrator. Levi said, "This man can play better than my Daddy", now that is a compliment from a little fella who thinks his Dad is Superman! The boys were so excited the whole time. Their eyes were full of joy and their faces held a huge smile. It was so much fun KK- We Love and Thank You SO Much!! This will be something they will remember for many CHRISTmas' to come.
All day long the boys asked questions about it. Inquiring about things from the book and movie. "Is it really The North Pole?" "How cold is going to be there, Momma?" "Are we really going to go over ice caps?" And then, Houston's final question, "Is this train bigger than the one at the mall, Momma?" God love him, he's just 4, that's the biggest train he's ever seen. And yes it was much bigger than the train from the mall. It was an Engine with probably 8-10 cars, truly a lot of fun! I believe they said the tickets sold out in 4 days, for all the rides through Dec. You never get too old for all this make believe stuff. 33 and felt 6 yrs. old again!

Once the Conductor started speaking, you could have heard a pin drop. They glared out the windows awaiting The North Pole.

Upon arrival, Santa and Mrs. Claus paid us a visit.

Then the Elves brought us all a bell from Santa's sleigh.

Next it was time for milk and cookies.

Levi was so funny. Since he can read a little now, he looked down at the carton and said, "What kind of choc. milk is this? It's a lot better than our kind at school."

Levi's Latest

We have Communion/Feet Washing every 5th Sunday night. This is one of the Free Will Baptist's doctrinal beliefs and is truly a blessing. To imagine that our Savior's body was beaten and nailed to a cross,with him knowing that his blood was the ONLY thing that could make it possible for us to enter Heaven. I just get Holy Ghost bumps from head to toe. I've always allowed the boys to participate. Some people may frown upon it, but I believe what could be more innocent than a child whom our Father plainly said "not to offend." I never want to be discouraging about any of the Lord's work to my boys. I always try to explain the best that I can and allow GOD to do the rest. SO, tonight was 5th Sunday, therefore, Communion and Feet Washing. Levi, as you may remember from previous posts, was saved and baptized earlier this year and I wanted to be sure he understood what and why we did this. He told me plainly, "The bread is like Jesus' body, cause he died on the cross, and the blood was like Jesus' blood that came out when he died on the cross and that's what saves us." Just that simple that even our 6 year old understands it. As most of you know, as a mockery, they placed a sign above Jesus' cross that read, "King of the Jews". Well, Levi apparently thinking about this, b/c I hadn't mentioned it, then said the cutest thing. "You know Momma, they also said He was King of the Juice. So like his blood is the juice." Get it, Grape Juice from Communion, Jews from the sign.....too cute!!! A little confused but we got that all straightened out. But my earnest prayer is that he is King of your life!

Can I get a ROLL TIDE?!!!!

OK, I hate to be obnoxious but ROLL TIDE, anyway!!!! We had a great time getting together and watching the game at Nana and Poppy's. We had a house full of folks and only 2 Auburn fans in the crowd so it was pretty peaceful. Josh, of course, does not care who is around, when it comes to his football, LOUD is not the word. But, he has something to really be proud of this year and I can't blame him for enjoying himself. Josh's Uncle Mark and his family were down from Wisconsin and he is even still a Bama fan deep down. His son, Christian, even packed his Alabama jersey to wear(so cute). Thanks everyone for a great time, the food was delicious and the company was even better!

Our Day with Tucker

Sweet Baby Tucker was mine all mine today! KirKir let me keep him today and I loved every minute of it. The boys adore him and could not keep their hands off him. They kissed or touched him every time they walked by. He was the best thing and PRECIOUS is the word. Makes me miss the baby days and almost makes me want just 1 more! Thanks KirKir for letting us keep him. We love ya'll so much!

He's growing too fast!

"We want a baby brother." If I had a dollar for every time I heard that today.

Thanksgiving Day

Our family is so huge and holidays are always so much fun. We always begin with MawMaw and Grandaddy's first(11:00), Nancy and DC's next(3:00), and then MawMaw Bozemans' last(6:00). We of course always eat too much and stay up way too late. But I'm not complaining. When I think of all the lonely, hurting people in the world, it's days like this that I'm reminded of just how blessed I am. The boys get to play with all their cousins, and some of whom we only see once a year, and they are always so tired but hang in there until we absolutely make them go to bed. Thankful for so many things, I could never list them all. So, I guess the best way to put it is, I'm thankful for EVERYTHING!

The Weather was perfect! The kiddos played Frisbee and Football and made "leaf angels".

Thanksgiving Baking

The boys and I did a little Thanksgiving baking today.... Pumpkin Rolls and Fudge. They were all about helping today. I guess that comes with them getting older and Levi being able to read recipes this year. Between taking turns to "mix stuff up" and washing beaters after they had been repeatedly "licked" and dropped, it took a little longer than normal but what better way to spend the day than with my little helpers. Of whom I am most thankful for. The love of GOD has truly been shed abroad in their little hands and hearts and I couldn't be more thankful than for that. The Love of GOD, Love of Family and the unconditional Love of My Sons....truly blessed. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your family. May GOD'S Love truly fill your hearts too, this Thanksgiving season.

Please overlook all the flour and stuff splattered everywhere. They enjoyed themselves and I tell them all the time their middle name should be Mess.

"I don't like cream cheese Momma. I just like this stuff." I let Levi know that all that stuff was, was "doctored up cream cheese." "Well then I like cream cheese, Momma."

Family Pics

We recently went to Boley Nazarene for some pics. You know the ones where you just pay $10 and get a free 8x10. Well of course the awful thought of my babies pics just being shredded is unbearable. The updated pics on the blog are from that session. I'm a picture junkie, big time. However, I hadn't had a family pic taken since Kim had taken them last November and she had taken some of the boys since then but no family pics. We also had our family pics made again with her this month. They were good too. I'll post them when I get them. The boys have always did pretty good about getting their pic taken except lately we're running into the "fake smile" stage with Levi. He tries, bless his heart, but I think the missing teeth make him feel self-conscience. He's still just as handsome as ever though. And my little Houston, he stays in cheese mode. They have figured out, just smile and cooperate and it will all be over real soon. Sounds like some great advice from Daddy, huh?!

A Wonderful Weekend......

It all began Friday morning. I dropped Levi off to school, finished packing and dropped Houston off at Nana's and we headed up to Nashville. I was so hesitant about leaving the boys, even though they were in the best of hands, but I'm so glad Josh convinced me to go. It was like old times....ahhhh. It truly was. Just time to focus on each other with no schedule or worries. OMG, I had forgotten how it was way back before the munchkins. We checked in and got ready for a CHRISTmas dinner and show in the hotel, which we truly enjoyed and just chilled out the rest of the evening. Slept in Sat AM and then went downtown and walked around in the chilly, windy 30 degree weather, which we most definitely could not have done with the boys. Grabbed lunch and just enjoyed all the shops and music. Later Sat afternoon we headed back to the room and got ready for The Rockettes. They were great! We truly enjoyed them last year and the show was pretty much the same. It was so much fun! We love the Gaylord b/c there is always food, shops and everything you need at your fingertips. We slept in again on Sun and had brunch and off to Opry Mills. We shopped and still made it back for church a little late but around 6:15PM. We had told the boys we would see them after church but we were so ready to see them, we just grabbed something to go for supper and headed home. They were so surprised to see us and their hugs and kisses were WONDERFUL!!! I had missed them so much but truly loved every minute away, if that's possible. Thanks Nana, Poppy, MeMaw and PePaw! Ya'll are lifesavers and we couldn't make it without ya'll! The boys had a great time with them but referred to them as "old" b/c they didn't play like we do. It was hilarious! I love my family life and stay so involved with the boys that I sometimes forget about my hubby. But I never want anyone else in this whole wide world. I love you with all my heart, honey. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!
