Baseball season has arrived! Levi's practice has officially started and Coach Josh and Coach Wesley are the men for the job. Yes, I know what you're thinking, Josh helping coach?? Believe it or not his competitiveness is a good thing(when steered in the right direction) and he does so well with the kids. Our team name...The Red Sox and Levi's #...you guessed it #22. Our first game is April 14, so wish us luck. We have a really young team. 13 players and only 4 who have ever played. So, needless to say this will be a "great learning experience". I have been given the job of "Dug-Out Coach" so this should be fun- organizing and lining up 13 little 5-6yr olds. Levi is really doing well thus far. He was running this afternoon and turned his ankle and said,"Mom I hurt my "shiney", I said "Your what?!", "My shiney" he repeated while pointing to his shin. Thought that was too cute. But anyway back to the team. I know it's all about having fun but no one wants to get their hineys kicked every game so maybe we can pull a win or two out of the hat. Practice, prayer and PATIENCE that's what I keep telling myself, hope that works! So, LET'S PLAY BALL!!

SPRING IS IN THE AIR!
I LOVE this time of year! It seems like it gives me a little more pep in my step! Grilling, baseball, flowers, and longer days. The boys love it too. Time to get out and play and time to play more after supper since the days are getting longer. I usually try to take the boys spring pics. in the tulips at UA. I was looking back at these and thought I would post some from the past few years. I cannot believe how they have grown and turned into little men sooo fast. But growing and prospering is a good thing and all the more to be thankful! Spring holds a few of my favorite things and these are a few pics of my favorite boys.

"POOR LITTLE LEVI"
Well, the verdict is in. After a Dr. visit and sinus x-ray....Severe Sinusitis w/both sinus cavities full of fluid. The treatment- 21 day anti-biotic, nose spray and Zyrtec. Fever has been gone since Sunday but he is still soo congested and is having nose bleeds. "NO BASEBALL PRACTICE! Poor little Levi"per Houston. He could care less about no school for a couple of days but no baseball practice that was a little too hard for Levi and Houston to take. I tried to explain that so many have been sick w/ the flu and all kinds of other icky stuff but they just can't believe we have to hang out @ home for a few days. And yes, I've already gotten,"this is the most boring house there is, I can't wait to go somewhere this is the most boring day of my life." If they only knew boring....Flatwoods, AL come on! We are truly blessed just by having our health not to mention all the other things that GOD gives us every day. I've enjoyed being in jammies most of the day and just having time to get caught up on stuff around here. Thanks for all the prayers and phone calls, it's great to be reminded of how much you're loved!

Jesus Plays Baseball?
ONE of the many funny things Houston has come up with this week. Levi and Houston were playing baseball in the bonus room(plastic bat&ball) earlier this week. Levi had gotten tired of playing w/Houston( he usually makes contact about 1 out of 5 balls) so Levi decides to come help me. Houston plays a little longer and then comes down the hall crying. I of course say "What's wrong buddy?" Houston replies, "Nobody will play ball w/me. Not my Bubba or my friends or even Jesus." Levi of course thinks this is hilarious and says "You ask Jesus to play baseball w/you?!" Houston then says "Yea Mommy, you said Jesus is always w/me, all the time but he ain't here to play baseball." Levi is hysterical by this time and I'm trying to keep a straight face and explain. "Yes, Jesus is always w/you, wherever you are and whatever you're doing, but he doesn't come down and actually play ball and stuff w/you, he just watches over you while you play. If he came down to play w/you, he wouldn't be able to see everybody else from our house." Houston took it for the gospel, no questions, crying stopped and off to the playroom he went. Levi meanwhile still giggled for the next 5/10 mins. every time he would think about it and I continue to giggle every time I think about it. Aren't they all such gifts?
"Every good and perfect gift comes from above."
We have a few Easter pics to view at www.kimlawsonphotography.com and type in LHCannon in Name block. Thanks Kim, they really had fun!

Heaven Conversation
Just thought I would share this conversation the boys and I had over breakfast. For some reason out of the blue, Levi says,"Mommy I know you'll probably be going to heaven before I do and I'm gonna be sad." I said,"Levi why are you thinking about things like that? I'll probably go before you do but I hope it's a long time from now. And don't you worry if I do, cause I'll be waiting on you when you get there." "But you won't know your Mom and Dad when you get to heaven." I said, "Yes you will. I won't know you're not there because I'll be so happy to see Jesus but then when you do get there I'll be so happy you could be w/ me and Jesus." Then Houston says,"Yea, and the devil won't be there either." Levi then replies, "Well he used to be in Heaven but he tried to be like Jesus and Jesus made him leave and named him Lucifer. Then one time he dressed up like a snake and made Adam and Eve eat off that tree that Jesus said not too. Then you know what happened?" I said, "What buddy?" Levi then said so seriously, "They became naked-tive." How cute! His vocab maybe a little off but somebody has been listening @ church!

Nutri-System?
Just thought I would share this funny from Houston. We just ate supper and we had the old fast faithful on a cold night, chili and grilled cheese. Houston was sitting by Josh while dipping his grilled cheese in his chili. He looked up at Josh and said, "Dad, this is real food for real guys, not Nutri-System." We got so tickled. I'm sure you've seen the Nutri-System commercials w/ the athlete's who've lost weight and have coined this phrase. They don't miss a thing, not even Nutri-System commercials.

Family-that's what it's all about!
We were actually able to spend some time this week with Ben, Beth, Eli and James. I went to Ben and Beth's twice this week and we went to keep Eli and James on Sat. night. We all had a ball. Houston, MawMaw Bozeman and I went to Luke and MK'S then Josh and Levi were able to go with us to JJ and Kelly's. You can imagine how loud and wild it is with all the boys together! Luke, MK, Ben and Beth are all doing well and have adjusted so well to the new baby. JJ and Kelly were able to have a long overdue date night and are also celebrating their "6th" Anniversary today. Levi was so obsessed w/ "date night". He said, "Why are they going on a date, their already married?" I tried to explain that after marriage men don't care about dates but the girls still do. Hint!Hint!(LOL) He also asked 2 or 3 times if JJ and Kelly were kissing? Kindergarten..they learn about more than you think!
