What a Wonderful Week!

We truly enjoyed our week camping. I never knew we would enjoy it so much. We have met some of the sweetest people and being outside in God's great outdoors is so relaxing. It was a little colder than last year but all we had to do was add a layer of clothes! Nothing to complain about really. We were healthy, safe and together. That's everything a Momma could ask for.

We reunited with our friends from last year and made many new ones! It's amazing how that when people have the love of God in their hearts, it's like you are instantly connected. As if, you've known each other all your lives. Memories that my boys will never forget and that only make me realize even more what life is all about. Life is a vapor. Help me Lord to slow down and soak it all in. Every tree, every fish, every turtle, every breeze, every ray of sunshine that we enjoyed and every precious soul we met, happened because you said so.

We walked, we talked, we rode bikes, we ate, we laughed, we cried, we ate, we played, we stayed up late around campfires, we ate. Spring Break 2010-What a wonderful week!

The Annual Silly Face Picture

Houston and his best friend of the week, Hannah. I was enjoying a game of "Chicken-Foot" in the background.

A little fishing. The water was so high but the guys enjoyed just being in the boat.
Lunch at "Cora's". The place of soul food and boy did it do my soul good.
Part of the crew. I never knew it could be so fun hangin' with the retirees. These folks really know how to have good, clean fun. "Oldies but Goldies!"

The bridge where Levi spent a lot of his time. He caught several brim and loved feeding the turtles from his favorite spot.
Poppy and Nana.

The boys and their new found friends. They were really having "to rough it", can't you tell. They ALL had a DS and McDonalds was 5 mins. away.
Campfires every night.
Singing around the campfire. We usually had about 40-45 people gather with us at night. Fellowship, coffee and cake. Loved it!
A historical site. The Foscue House, built in 1840 is now a restaurant. A little spooky looking but good food! The boys were amazed.
The Foscue House was full of cabinets displaying things found in the house.
Catching some trot line bait! I LOVE to see him smile. He has a lot on him most days but this smile makes me so happy!
Houston, Hannah and Nicholas. Nicholas was only there for 2 days of our stay but they made the most of it.
What is camping without SMORES?!!

Saying our good-byes. I met a sweet heart. Here Mom and Dad camp and she came down with her 2 kiddos. Kim, Ryan and Emily, precious.

A good game of "Color-Tag". Can you guess the color? Pink would be it!
Do you really think you can catch me?!
