HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY!

I couldn't ask for anyone more loving, caring, and dedicated to our family as you. We are so thankful for all you do to provide for our family and the rock that you are for us. You have built our family on a solid foundation and live a Godly example for our boys, each and everyday. Your love and strength are admired and adored both through little eyes and mine. We LOVE you to the moon and back and as BIG as the sky as the boys say! You're the BEST!!
"He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood rose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock." Luke 6:48

A Week in Review

We had a very busy but blessed week last week. I don't believe I've ever went this long without blogging. Anyway, we stayed busy with the regular school stuff, church stuff and basketball. The weather seemed to get nicer everyday and the boys were like birds out of a cage over the weekend. The weather was absolutely beautiful!

We had our usual Saturday Upward game. Sunday was "Friend Day" at church with lunch and singing. What a wonderful time! We had several new faces and the lunch, as usual was delicious! Our church ladies always show out on days like these. Back to school, homework, volunteering, etc. Then haircuts, practice, Mother Goose, get the truck serviced, groceries, etc. Another Upward Game on Saturday, church on Sunday, Choir practice, Houston to Dentist on Monday and Levi to Dr. on Tuesday. Which puts us up to date! I think.... I can hardly remember anything anymore if more than 2 days ago. Levi has a sinus infection, so please say a little prayer for him, when you get a chance. And today also happens to be my honey's birthday. We Love you so much!!

The boys did a little bird hunting on Saturday. Levi shot his 1st bird. He was so proud of himself.
The boys started a "Club/Fort" today. I tried to take some pics, but you can tell by this look, they were into "work". Levi told me "this was no time for pics, they had to work 'til the sun went down."
Houston also informed me "Momma, cowboys don't smile!"

They made their club sign. "No girls allowde" and they called it "The Thug Club". They didn't really know the meaning of a thug. I explained, that wasn't anything to be proud of. "But we were thugs in the Christmas play." OK, I see where they might think this was a good thing. If you have a group of thugs in a church play, then surely it's something good, right?

Ben and Beth "Pend the night with Gi-Gi"!

Luke had gotten Mary Kathryn a "Spa Day" for Christmas. He called and asked if I could keep the kids on Wed.night and Thursday. Of course I could! We had little ones for two days around here and Houston loved it. Ben is 2 1/2 and Beth will be "1" in February. They are a hand full. I had forgotten how it was to have a little one crawling everywhere. She also started taking steps and tried it several times yesterday. She would take about 5-6 steps at a time and would get so excited when we would cheer for her. Ben loved playing with Houston and the boys toys. Although, it was a lot of fun, it was a lot of work! Getting 4 ready for church, supper and bed, WOW! But we loved every minute of it. Ben loves being here at "Gi-Gi's house" and I love having them here. I love ya'll so much!!

She reminds me so much of KK when she was little!

And he reminds me so much of Luke when he was little!

"Tucker-Time!"

Houston and I got to keep Tucker again this Wednesday. He is growing way too fast and getting sweeter everyday! He's really started grinning, cooing and just watching Houston's every move. He is the best little thing. We can't wait until next Wed.!

Is that absolutely precious or what?!!

He apparently loves his tongue, he keeps it like this A LOT.
Look at that sweet sugar just dripping off that chin!

Ben and Jenn's Couples Shower

A little behind with this post also, a couple of Saturday nights ago, we had Ben and Jennifer a Couples Shower for Baby Wes. We were so glad to be able to celebrate this exciting time with them. The girls wanted to do a little something for them, real informal and comfortable for everyone. We got together here at the house and laughed all night! It had been so long, since we had ALL been together that we forgot how much fun it was. Why we called it a couples shower, I don't know. The girls were in the living room and we talked about our children and "other things", while the men all stayed in the kitchen and talked about "guy stuff". I don't know the last time that I have laughed SO much! I'm so thankful for true friends. No matter, how long it's been or how far away you are, you can always pick right up where you left off! God has been so good to all our families and for that I'm most thankful. Ben and Jennifer have endured a lot of pain over the past few years, but God has bundled up enough JOY inside this little fella' to help them heal, and I can't wait for them to get the opportunity to experience it! We wish you the best Ben, Jenn and Baby Wes(set to arrive 2/10/09, my honey's b-day)!

The gals. Look at that precious little belly!

Eli's 3!!

A little behind with this post, but a couple of Saturdays ago, our nephew celebrated his 3rd birthday. He had a Power Rangers party and the boys had so much fun! We love you buddy!

He wanted "Strawberry Cupcakes NOT a cake"!

This balloon was bigger than he was.

The boys had so much fun painting.

Upward Game

We played our usual 9AM game this past Sat. We had to be there at 8AM for pics.(thanks Mrs.Kim), played our game and came home and did absolutely NOTHING! It was so nice! We had planned on meeting my family in Tuscaloosa but Houston had not been feeling good. So, since it was so cold and yucky, we just hung around here, watched movies and played lazy all afternoon. Thanks to Kelly and the boys for coming to watch. I know that was a long drive so early in the AM.

Houston, Eli and James cheering the Wildcats on.

A little advice from Dad.

A little advice from Mr. Joe.

The boys and their buddy Will.

A Beautiful Day to......

Fish, hunt, play baseball, play golf. All these things just rolled off their little tongues. When Levi got in, they were so ready to GO OUTSIDE! Well, the fish weren't biting and there wasn't enough daylight left to hunt, so we opted for baseball and golf. It was amazing to see how much they had matured since last baseball season. Then time for a little golf practice. They love to hit AT golf balls. You never know where they will land or when they will finally get off the ground to land. It's hilarious but they don't appreciate my laughing at all. I just can't help it. Tongues stuck out, a good manly grunt while swinging and the "Oh Man" following the unsuccessful swing, mind you all the time, they have perfected the form.HA(LOL Honey) Hope all of you enjoyed this beautiful day the Good Lord made!

Lining up

The tongue looks like a big dip.

Eye is on the ball....or so it seems.

Trying to see where the ball landed. But that would be a little yellow ball still on the ground not the heel of his right shoe. Bless his heart, he really tries.

Concentrating, OMG he's just like his Daddy!
Following through and looking to see "how many yards was that?"

Wildcats vs. Rams

We played our 3rd Upward game Saturday. Levi did a great job! We had a very busy day. We had his game at 9:00. Eli's party in Dora at 11:00. Lily's party back at Berry at 2:00(boys fell asleep so didn't get to enjoy that one) and then we had the youth at our house at 6:00. We had a great time, despite the "hecticness" and the cold.

Sizing up the competition.

Check out the form.

After a long game, Levi and Isaac collapse in the floor.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, ELI!

Today our nephew turns 3! We will be celebrating with a "Power Rangers" party on Saturday. We headed to Chik-i-la, as Houston says, today and played with Eli and James for a "real b-day day party" and then Houston went home with them and will soon return with Nana. It's so hard to believe he's already 3! We love you bunches, Eli!(you too, James)

Houston Bakes A Cake!

Houston had the best idea today. He wanted me and him to bake a cake. Anything sweet is right up my alley, so he didn't have to twist my arm at all. He loves "chocolate in the middle and white on the top". He also loves to be hands on in the kitchen. I got everything out and read him the directions. He then pretty much did the rest(with the occasional reminder of "everything in the bowl, son.") It was great to spend a little one on one time with him and the finished product was delicious. Tonight, after supper, he wanted cake and ice cream, another great idea and once again, he didn't have to twist any body's arms around here.

Wildcats vs. Tigers

Levi had his 2nd Upward game and did a great job. Nana did not keep score this week, she said she felt convicted about it last week HA! So, I'm not sure about the score or how many points he had, but he tried his best and that's all that matters. We are enjoying the games and the fellowship with all the other families. Meeting new people and getting reacquainted with those we haven't seen in a while is a great way to spend your Saturday mornings. Houston is truly enjoying himself too. He's getting to play with Noah and Isaiah, which is really good for him. He normally only has older children to play with and these boys are just his age. All 4 of us are having a great time! Thanks MeMaw and Nana for coming out to watch him!

Making his grand entrance!
Point Guard...with a little help.

Report Card Time

My little man got his 3rd report card for the year and he did so good! My little buddy brought home all A's and a "1" in conduct. I'm so proud of you Levi! His teacher also referred to him as "really tender-hearted and sensitive", which to me is so important. Sometimes, I wish not so sensitive but I'm happy he's just the way he is b/c that's exactly the way the Lord has made him. Had to take the chance to brag....that's what Momma's are for!

CHRISTMAS BREAK....DAY 19

I believe this has to be one of the longest Christmas breaks I can ever remember. Not complaining, but WOW! Good thing, Levi is a homebody and Houston just doesn't care either way. Levi NEVER wants to go anywhere and Houston is always up for going or staying, whichever you decide. I did manage to finally get them out today and we went to catch a movie. We met MeMaw there and the kids giggled all the way through "Bedtime Stories". We grabbed lunch, watched the movie, played a little arcade, and KRISPY KREME!! I know, I just swore to myself that I was going to try to cut back on all the sweets, but that has got to be my favorite thing to eat ANY time of the day. Josh always kids me that "Krispy Kreme" should have been our boys first words, but when you pack on 25 lbs. a pregnancy you got to make it count for something, right?! We should be back to somewhat of a routine tomorrow. I've truly enjoyed the break but I can only be so lazy and "non-schedulized" for so long.

We would also like to wish a super special man a "HAPPY 87th BIRTHDAY" today! Bro. Lewis Montgomery has always been so special to our family. We love you Bro. Lewis and Mrs. Eveleen! May God keep his hand upon the both of you. Ya'll have made such a difference in our lives! We Love You SO Much!!

Upward is here again!

Go Wildcats! Can you believe another year has rolled around and we're playing basketball again?! Time truly has flown and my baby has truly grown! Last year, there were some boys a head taller than him, but not anymore. He really has grown up over the past year.

We had so much fun today. Levi got back into the swing of things pretty fast and cracked me up. He loves to give 110% at any kind of sport and gets so excited when he makes a point, good play, etc. Last year, we only had 4 players and this year, there are 9 little Wildcats running around. Can you believe that close to Northside that they actually named a team, Wildcats? Me either, but suits our little team fine. We do have 4 little Berry Wildcats on our team.

Today, was also the first day in 2 weeks, that we had to set an alarm and get up. I like to have never pulled all of us out of bed! Next week will come all too soon. Back to the old grind and schedule that has been thrown out the door since Christmas break began. I love having all this time with the boys and believe it or not,(they have come close a few times), but haven't killed each other yet!

Anyway, back to Upward. I'm sure some of you will get tired of seeing these posts and pics over the next few weeks, but some of my family would kill me if I didn't keep them up to date, on EVERYTHING. My camera, as stated before, is a little to be desired, especially in the gym lighting, but just bare with me. By the way, thanks KK and Nana for coming to watch Levi. Next year, we'll have 2 little Cannon's running around out there. Good Job, Coach Josh & Coach Adam!

Levi and Coach Josh The boys with KK Prayer before the game He just received his grey star-"Best Offense" I think he's a little happy, yet as his Daddy tells him. "Always act like you've done it before son, never show out." Great words of advice but he's only 6, right?! As a proud Momma, he actually did have 13 points and I just never act like he's done it before, sorry honey, I get so excited and I just can't help it!(LOL) Coach Adam ask them if they had fun. A big "YES SIR!" from Levi and Isaac. They think it is so cool that they both have the same teeth missing and growing back in at the same time. I'm telling you these boys are CLOSE!
