June Road Trips

We took a church trip to the Atlanta Aquarium on Friday(6/4). Enjoyed it so much. We had about 75 people go. We chartered 2 buses. Left out at 5:30AM and returned about 10PM the same night. Josh couldn't get off work so the boys and I went on without him. They really enjoyed themselves and NOT having to drive back was wonderful.


We also took another church trip to Eufaula on Tuesday(6/8). We took another bus and had about 35 go on this one. My Unlce Elzo preached at Campmeeting at his home church. They honored him for his years of service to the Lord's work and to our country. He was a POW when his plane got shot down over Germany. He was freed by the British after 8 months of captivity. They told of ALL his medals and their significance. It was amazing. They then honored his ministry. 87 years young and still going strong. Aunt Hannah is still by his side. Her health is not so good, but she continues to smile, love and touch lives from her wheel chair. We had to leave at 3:30AM for this trip. I had not had a chance to pack a bag or get clothes ready so 2 AM came way too soon. But boy was I glad I did it. We had great services! I left refreshed and as if I had had a wonderful 8 hour rest the night before! Uncle Elzo and Aunt Hannah were so surprised. They had no idea of the big day that had been planned for them. What wonderful memories.

BEACH TRIP!!!! The 3rd trip for June(6/12-19)!!! What fun, what weather, what memories!!! Will post pics soon. Have lost my camera cord SO a little behind. No surprise, huh?

Trip to Atlanta for sweet Levi(6/20). Yes, he went with Heath, Leandra, Tyler and Ashlyn. WITHOUT his parents. I said No. His Daddy said Yes. I got trumped and he went. LONGEST 3 DAYS OF MY LIFE!! He had a blast. I had a small meltdown.

SO, 4 trips for the month of June. We have a camping trip or 2 planned for July. We have also enjoyed days with the family at the pool, splash pad, fishing at the lake and had 2 baseball parties in between the trips. Will post about those at some point.
