May Updates

Just let me start off by saying...... W H E W!!!! Wow what a fun filled, busy month. Don't think I can even remember ALL that we have done to blog about, but would love to try to hit on a few things.
The boys are already swimming!! The water is WAY too cold for me but "just like bath water, Momma come on!" to them. NOT falling for that one.

Levi, my sweet Levi, finished up 2nd Grade!! TEAR!! What a sweetie and oh so cute. He finished with ALL A'S!! So proud. Mrs. Davis was a wonderful teacher and would love for Houston to have her in the future!! :) Speaking of Houston, he is registered and knows his teacher for K!! He's excited!! He got Mrs. Janice Moore(whom he wanted b/c Anna Lee said so) and he got Noah in his classroom. So we have 2 happy little Kindergartners. Levi and Isaac will get to be together in Mrs. Carroll's room. So we also have 2 happy 3rd Graders. It is so hard to write that.

As you can tell, Levi was just full of joy over his awards. He could have cared less. He did receive All A Honor Roll and Highest Accelerated Reader for his classroom. GO LEVI!!

Houston finished up his 1st baseball season!! So proud and amazed at how he has improved from his 1st game to his last. Believe it or not, he even caught a line drive!! WOW! He made lots of new buddies and I believe it really helped him socially and to help prepare him a little for K. Of course, Christy(Darty) thinks he is a social bug and needs no more "socializing skills"!HA He will talk your ears off! Just speak to him and you've got a friend!

Houston was being "heckled" by the other team and it's coaches. Can you believe that?!ha Coach Adam and Corey really wanted Houston on their team, just didn't work out this year. But maybe next time.

Levi is STILL playing. However, we will be finishing up this week. What a little slugger!! He has had a wonderful season and even got a home run which is almost impossible in this age group, unless you smack it out, which is also, almost impossible for this age group! :) Josh has really enjoyed coaching and I will have to say, he really impressed me. He did a great job.

Poppa giving Levi a little base running advice.
This boy can rip a ball! Amazing how consistent he is. If Momma don't brag, who will?ha

Pop also competed in the State Mine and Rescue Competition. I let Levi stay out to watch Pop compete. It was really neat. Pop has been a member of MR for over 20 years. He enjoys it and he is good. He won 1st Place in his division and also won an "Extra" Trophy for the best of something. Sorry don't remember what it was for. But the trophy is BIG! Congrats Poppy!!

Josh is staying really busy with work, coaching, church, and just being a handy-man around here. He never fails to give 110% at whatever he is doing. WORK definitely included. They announced Chevron will be selling the mines to Jim Walter Resources, so a new career transition in the very near future. If you would, right this second, just stop and whisper a little prayer for our family concerning this. Thanks, I appreciate it so much.

SO, I'm not able to cover everything, but did want to catch up a little.............IT'S SUMMER TIME!! Woo-Hoo!!

Wow, do I remember all the times we had to transition to a new company. Will remember you in my prayers...especially to try not to worry. It seemed to always work out.
Love reading about your boys.
